President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received former foreign minister of Italy Franco Frattini.

The meeting noted the importance of the Baku International Humanitarian Forum in terms of expansion of interstate relations, AzerTAj reports.

The sides also underlined successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Italy, and voiced confidence in their further development.

An exchange of views was held around the Azerbaijani-Italian and Azerbaijani-EU cooperation.
